Thanks to Linda Borthwick from the Allerdale School Sport Partnership who has sent us this week’s challenges, ‘Sportshall Awards at Home’ and has provided vouchers for winners.

Today’s challenge is ‘sit & reach’ and we are providing teaching points for parents as well as asking you to join in.

Who got the best score in your house? Please post pictures and your average family score. Can you beat the Wright’s score of 4.5cm?

How big of a distance can you jump from a standing start? Can anyone beat Rob’s score of 1.8m?

Today’s challenge from the “Sportshall Awards at Home” booklet is the Speed Bounce.

How many 2 footed side to side jumps can you do in 20 seconds?

Can anyone beat Chris’s score of 44, Alfie’s score of 36 and Connie’s score of 20. Our family averaged 33.

 Teaching points included in the video. Compete against your family and don’t forget to post the family average score.

Today's challenge is to see how high you can jump. You can do this on your own or with your whole family!

What a fantastic week it has been doing the #HomePentathlon.

Fridays challenge is Target Throw - coach Ellie has a brilliant helper from next door (sticking to social distancing rules) to help show you all how to do this fantastic challenge. 

All you need is different objects and different targets.
Our Objects: tennis ball, bean bag, netball and basketball 
Our Targets: a bucket, a tyre, a floor spot and a yoga wheel 

Ellie and Jacob both had 4 goes each and here are the scores :
Jacobs points- 10
Ellie’s points-8
