About Us

Chris Wright


 Chris has worked in School Sport since 2004, involved in developing and managing programmes for Primary and Secondary schools across Physical Education and Sports Competitions and running a multi-skills sports academy. 


He has a degree in Sports Studies & Business Management. He holds Level 2 qualifications in Multi-Skills Development in Sport, Basic Moves - Developing Physical Literacy, CrossFit Level Trainer Certificate, Coaching Rugby Union, Coaching Rugby League and has completed a Level 1 qualification within Athletics. Other qualifications include Sports Coach UK modules, Tutor Courses and SAQ.


He has been an established coach on the Rugby Football League player development pathway and is currently Head Coach of Cockermouth RUFC.

Rob Jefferson


Rob has been a part of the team since 2013. He holds a BA (Hons) degree in Physical Education from the University of Cumbria. He is also an LTA accredited level 2 tennis coach and holds a level 2 certificate in Multi Skills Development in Sport.


Rob delivers the P.E curriculum to schools, tennis and multi skills programmes as part of the School Sport Partnership to schools in Allerdale, after school clubs and community sport projects to children in Silloth and Kirkbride.


Rob is also the tennis coach at Silloth, Kirkbride and Anthorn LTC and runs lessons in the evenings.

Ellie Hodgson


Ellie started with Wright Sport Services in 2018.

 

Ellie is currently working full time at Lakes College as a lecturer for SEND and Supported Internships.


Ellie is still working causally for Wright Sport Services and Chance Camp, looking after the website and booking system.

Amy Lawless


Amy holds a BA (Hons) degree in Physical Education from Leeds Beckett University and specialises in multi-skills and fundamental movement development in children. 


She provides Physical Education and extracurricular sports clubs to primary schools in Allerdale, along with delivering community sport programmes for children in Workington.


Amy is currently working on programmes around playtime leadership, to train Year 5 and Year 6 pupils to become part of the school's workforce helping to deliver fun and engaging activities which ensure pupils in their school increase their daily physical activity levels.

Tom Walton

Tom joined the team in the summer of 2021 and has been coaching since he was 16 years old. 


He studied Sports coaching at UCLAN in Preston which has given him the opportunity to deliver sport sessions at a variety of different company’s including Little Kickers and Chance Camp.


Tom is qualified in football, completing his level 1 badge with the FA, as well as completing his FA Primary Teachers Award. He has also completed his Level 2 Certificate in Coaching (Sport & Physical Activity). 


Tom leads group activities at Chance Camp as well as delivering the 5S programme, Sport specific P.E lessons & Play Leaders Training to primary schools in Allerdale.

Reece Robinson


Reece has been part of the team since the summer of 2021.


He initially joined as part of the governments Kickstart Scheme- an initiative aimed to support young people into employment. After initially working alongside the Chance Camp coaches whilst developing his trade as a coach- he now leads his own groups at Chance Camp, whilst delivering the 5S Programme, and sports leader training in P.E lessons to primary schools in Allerdale.


Reece has level 3 BTEC in cricket studies, an FDSC sports coaching degree and has his level 2 in PE and school sports award.

Kate Chester


Kate joined the team in 2020.



Kate hold's sports science qualifications and a HND in management. Kate is a qualified swimming coach and kayaking coach, who ran her own swim school for many years. 

 Kate also has a strong farming background and knowledge and has helped produce our new 'Healthy Ways' programme which she is delivering in primary schools along with our main 5S programme.
